Themed session – Leadership

In recognition of our unsung heroes

Join Sarah Simpson, Managing Director of Century One Publishing as she interviews David Williams, Media Officer at USDAW (United Shop, Distributive and Allied Workers) of which there are over 400,000 members.

During the Covid-19 pandemic, these key workers selflessly contributed to the workforce and wider communities, by keeping essential services running smoothly as the UK went into lockdown.

USDAW is campaigning to ensure these key members of society are given the recognition they deserve by using an agile and fast-moving communication strategy to support, retain and grow USDAW’s membership base.

Sarah uncovers key insights into not only the challenges David and the union’s media team have faced, but also USDAW’s achievements during this unprecedented time and future aims looking beyond the pandemic.
